It’s with deep sadness the Healy family shares that their beloved mother, Jane Ellen (Casey) Healy, passed away peacefully on November 13th, 2019. Jane, affectionately known and held in high regard as “Mother” along with Mom, Mama, Gramma, G-Ma and Janey to the many she welcomed into her life over the years will be forever loved and cherished. Whether to her devoted children (Stewart, David, Sue Ann, Stephenie and Leslie), the numerous foster children with whom she and her beloved husband Stewart Sr. lovingly cared for, or to the countless friends and families that she and Stewart Sr. embraced as their own, she was and always will be “Mother.” Jane’s love and open arms were unconditional, always given regardless if you were family, a friend, a visitor or someone she met on the street or at a store. You quickly felt welcomed through her smile, honest and always heartfelt words, joyful laughter and in her warm hug. With the too soon passing of her adored husband Stewart, her children, family and dear friends witnessed Jane’s stoic strength as she successfully raised, supported and was always available to whichever child or grandchild that may have needed her guidance, support and love. This same love and attention was extended to all others that Jane embraced into her life.
Jane was predeceased in death by her one and only true love, her husband Stewart Sr. her parents Roy and Mary, her siblings; Roy Jr., Peter and Warner, and her dearest son, David MacLean. Jane is survived by her siblings Margorie, Robert and youngest sister, Florence; her children Stewart (Kim Healy), Sue Ann (Scott Sproull), Stephenie (Frazer Mann), and Leslie (Brent Noble); her grandchildren whom she so dearly cherished; Keegan, Ryan, Nolan and Niamh Healy, Michael Thomas and Haileigh MacDonald, Benjamin and Ainslie Noble; her great-grandchildren; Carter MacDonald and Vanessa Tufts, and sisters-in-law; Anne Casey, Gloria Gallant and Betty Healy.
Jane had such an unforgettable influence on so many that she touched in life. Her children and family invite you to join them in a Celebration of her Life Friday November 22nd at 7pm at J.A Snow Funeral Home, Lacewood Drive, Halifax. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the associations for Alzheimer’s, Epilepsy, Diabetes.
