DICKEY, Jane Elizabeth – Passed away July 10, 2010, in the Halifax Infirmary, QEII. Jane was born in Halifax on September 22, 1942, a daughter of the late Kay and Crofton Dickey. She was predeceased by sister, Eleanor Polley Sruba. Prior to retiring in 1998, Jane was Secretary to the Labour Relations Board, Province of Nova Scotia. She is survived by sisters, Barbara Adams (Peter), Edmonton, Alta; Joanne Kaulback, Brampton, Ont.; brother, Bert Dickey (Joan), Dartmouth; uncle, Roderick Dickey of Brampton and aunt, Dorothy Burbridge, Halifax; nieces, Sarah Kaulback Idun (Kweku), Brampton; Laura Kaulback Smith (Adam), Halifax; Katie Kaulback, Brampton; LuAnn Blaxland (Greg Short), Dartmouth; Heather Polley, High Point, N.C.; and Joanne Polley Miller (Jim), Lockport, Ill., and nephews, Todd Dickey (Sharon Rushbrook), Dartmouth; Mitch Dickey (Shelley), Dartmouth; Michael Adams (Dawn), West Vancouver; Robert Adams (Kate), Edmonton, and David Adams (Helen), Edmonton; also 13 great-nieces and nephews as well as one great great-nephew and one great great-niece. The family would like to thank the staff of the ICU and IMCU at QEII Health Sciences Centre. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Jane’s life will take place in J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Dr., Halifax on Thursday, July 15, at 11 a.m. with a reception to follow.
