Born and raised in Halifax he joined the Canadian Air Force as a young man retiring in the 80’s. After retirement he worked as a maintenance engineer for Mack Maritime and the Citadel Inn, Halifax until truly retiring in the late 90’s. James’s favorite pastimes were crossword puzzles and remembering about the love of his life Barbara whom he missed dearly.
He is survived by sons, Stephen, James (Kimmey), Tim (Julie), and daughter, Karen; brothers, Frank, Billy; sisters, Dorothy, Bette and Rita. He is also survived by grandsons, Timothy, Taylor, Jordan, Bradley; grand-daughter, Hannah; great-granddaughters, Laurel and Amelia.
James, was predeceased by his wife, Barbara Ruth (nee Hickey); sister, Lorraine.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
