Greg's greatest joy was his family. He is survived by his devoted wife, Nicole, and their two young children, Cruz and Dane, who were the light of his life. His love for them was evident to all who knew him, and he always spoke of them with immense pride and affection.
Born and raised on the Northern Peninsula of Newfoundland, Greg was the beloved son of Clyde and Edna and the cherished brother of Shawn (Taylor). He will also be dearly missed by his in-laws, Stanley and Sheena; sister-in-law, Diana (Chesley); and nephew, Parker.
In addition to his immediate family, Greg leaves behind grandparents, Joe and Blanche, and Clyde and Mary, along with numerous relatives, friends, and colleagues who will remember him for his unwavering dedication, kindness, humour, brilliance and the positive impact he had on their lives.
Greg was a Weapons Engineering Technician serving aboard the Royal Canadian Navy ship HMCS Montréal. He joined the Navy in 2005 and sailed nearly 500 days aboard HMC ships during his 19 years in uniform.
The family invites those closest to them to attend a military service honoring Greg’s life and service, which will be held at Juno Tower on February 1st at 2:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Halifax & Region Military Family Resource Centre (https://www.halifaxmfrc.ca/) or Ronald McDonald House Charities Atlantic (https://rmhcatlantic.ca/en/).
