Age 60 of Bedford, passed away peacefully at his home Sunday December 27, 2020. Born in Halifax, he was the oldest son of Pauline (Lee) and the late Bruce Yeadon. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, son-in-law, brother-in-law and uncle. Graham is survived by the love of his life Sharon (Shute), and they were blessed to have two children Leanne (Kean) and Ryan (Kathryn) who he adored more than anything else in the world. He was a proud, loving Papa to Rachel and Gideon. He is also survived by his loving mother, Pauline of Halifax and six siblings, Carol (Ernie) Yarn, Halifax; Gloria (Dean) Clarke, Moncton; Gary (Elli) Yeadon, Hammonds Plains; David (Sharon) Yeadon, Halifax; Elaine (Jason) Haines, Halifax; and Beth (Jack) Weir, Halifax as well as many cherished nephews and nieces.
Graham lived out his Christian principles and demonstrated his genuine relationship with God to all he met. He believed in supporting his local church and served as a board member of Rock Church. Graham was kind-hearted and generous and loved spending time in his workshop. Graham had a very strong work ethic. As a young man in 1978, he followed in his father’s footsteps and began his lifetime career at CNR where he retired as Train Master at the age of 55. He was well respected and left an amazing mark both professionally and personally on those he worked with and shaped the way for many in the railway industry including his own son, brother and nephew who he was so very proud of.
He met his beautiful bride and wife of 37 years, Sharon, and their fun-loving marriage was Christ-centered and embodied everything that marriage should be. Parrsboro was Graham’s retreat where he enjoyed gardening, hunting and spending time with family and friends including Bonnie and Uncle John who he considered a mentor.
Graham was a wonderful man of integrity who leaves behind a solid Christian legacy for all who knew him. He will be greatly missed but we are rejoicing that Graham is now with the Lord. The family would like to extend a very special thank you to Dr. Ismail Sharif, the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit - 8A Hematology staff, the staff of the Medial Day Unit and VON staff.
