Gordon J. Hayes

Gordon served the Archdiocese of Halifax for eleven years, after which he worked with the Adult Probation Services and finished his employment career as a Case Management Officer with the Correctional Services of Canada.

He was an active member of the former St.Piux X Parish, and of late of Saint Benedict Parish where he was involved in music ministry for some years. Gordon is survived by sisters, Jean (the late Carl) Sullivan, and Audrey (the late Bob) Hartlin. Also surviving are six nieces, one nephew, three grandnieces and eight grandnephews. Gordon was predeceased by sister, Marilyn.

Cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends at J. A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax on Thursday, August 18, from 2-4 pm & 7-9 pm. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in Saint Benedict Parish, 45 Radcliffe Dr., Halifax on Friday, August 19 at 10:30 am. There will be a reception to follow in the church hall with a burial in the family plot in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.

No flowers by request. Donations can be made to St. Vincent De Paul Society.
