G. Donald "Don" Umlah

Age 90 of Timberlea passed away at home on March 12, 2024. The son of the late Borden and Georgina Umlah, of Melville Cove, he was predeceased by sister Anna Holden and brother Borden Umlah. He is survived by his wife of 67 years Sadie (Coakley), son Donnie (Elda), Halifax, daughters Anne MacFarlane, Hammond Plains, Pam Fraser (Sandy), Cole Harbour, and Shelley, Timberlea; grandchildren Amy Grinter (Jason), Matthew Fraser (Bonnie), Chelsea MacFarlane-Smith (Jason), Courtney MacFarlane (Dylan), and Marshall Umlah; great grandchildren Zachery, Liam, Brody, Ava, Camden and step-great grandchild Freyja. He is also survived by sisters Myrna White, Truro, Patsy Coakley, Greenwood, and Audrey Jeneroux, Guelph, ON. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to MS Canada. The body has been cremated and a funeral service will be held at JA Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Dr, Halifax on Monday, March 18 at 2pm.
