Age 84, of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, passed away peacefully May 7th 2013 at the QEII with family by her side.
Born in Gainsborough, Lincolnshire, England on January 8th, 1929, she was the daughter of Charles and Mabel Schofield (Goodhand).
An adventurous spirit, she emigrated to Canada with her young family in 1957, when her husband joined the RCAF. Later she enjoyed a posting to Germany, a return to her homeland in the 1980s and finally retirement in Canada. A loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend, her strength and compassion were the backbone of her family. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Mary is survived by her husband of 63 years, Roy Moore; daughters Christine (Alex);Debbie (Rick);Pam (Fred); brother Des (Marilyn); grandchildren Laura, Jacob, Zoe and Jane; step granddaughter Morgan, and many nieces and nephews.
Mary is predeceased by her beloved mother; sisters Joyce, Maggie and Pam; brothers Sid, Frank and her dearest Reg.
