Florence Doreen Osborne

Born in England she was the daughter of the late John and Bertha (Bosanko) Higman.

She served in the English Territorial Land Forces during the Second World War, then moving to Canada with her husband and daughter in 1953, when Bill transferred from the Royal Navy to the Canadian Navy.

Doreen was a long time member of Hope United Church where she was a life-member of the UCW.

She was predeceased by her husband Bill of 63 years.

She is survived by daughter Carol (Dave) Carnell, Halifax; granddaughters Krista Bonang and Shelley (Matt) Raniowski, and great-grandchildren Devon, Liam, Brenna and Adalaide; also several nieces and nephews.

There will be no visitation by request. Cremation has taken place. Memorial Service will be held Monday, February 27, 2017, at 11 am at Hope United Church with reception in the hall following the service.
