Elaine will be lovingly remembered by her Mother, Edith (Edie) Greene, her sisters Julia Greene and Darlene Greene, and her brother Graham Greene, special sisters, Viki Gaul (Gary) and Janice Bickle (Tom). She will be deeply missed by nephew Julian, who called her ‘Best Auntie Ever’. Aunt Elaine will be missed by several nieces and nephews, and also great nieces and nephews. Among those will be feline niece and nephew, Ruby and Max.
Elaine was predeceased by her father, Frederick E Greene, (in January), and cherished sister-in-law, Jill Greene.
Elaine was a graduate of QEH in 1980, and Mount St Vincent (BA), in 1983. She worked for her father at Fisherman’s Market for 43 years, starting at the waterfront location, and then moving to the Bedford Highway in 1993. She had just retired the end of March.
Elaine loved purses, Princess Diana and the Royal Family, books of all descriptions, with a serious collection of cookbooks. She loved a good joke, a good cup of tea, the Friday morning Lexicon and was the Family ‘Word Search Queen’.
She loved an annual vacation at White Point Beach and was looking forward to a September booking in celebration of her recent retirement.
A grave-side service will be held on Sunday June 19th at 2:00 pm, Pine Grove Cemetery, Middleton, with Rev Barbara Bishop officiating.
