Douglas Gordon McQueen

Loving husband and wonderful friend to Diane, caring Father to Gail, who lives in Colorado, and Ward, who lives in Arizona; brother Roy; and niece and nephew Valerie and Glen.

Doug worked 42 years in the investment industry, half in Montreal and the remainder in Halifax, retiring from Dominion Securities Dec 1, 1990. After retirement, Doug enjoyed his life with his lovely wife Diane and building model ships which are on display in museums throughout Halifax. Some of his most enjoyable times were spent vacationing in P.E.I and Florida. Douglas was an avid walker for many years with his wife.

Funeral service will be held at J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 16, 2010, Rev. Ron Harris officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Please visit www.jasnowfuneralhome.com.
