Age 57, Halifax, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 31, 2018. Born February 14, 1960 in Halifax, he was the son of the late Barbara Glover. Don was predeceased by his brothers; Scott and Bradley (Loretta) Glover. He is survived by his sons; Justin (Amy), Nick, grandchildren; Ella, Ava, Cameron, Sadie and Lincoln, sister; Lisa and brother; Robbie. Don struggled, throughout his life, with addiction to alcohol which lead to isolation from many people he was close with and loved dearly. Anyone who loves someone struggling understands the challenges and heartache this may bring. Don was a wonderful, caring man who always tried to bring happiness to his family. He cherished his moments with his grandchildren; surprising them with little presents and loved to make them laugh. Don always enjoyed telling stories from when his sons were younger and was so proud of the people they have become. Although Don was not in daily contact with his sons, he always held them close to his heart.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held Thursday, February 15, 2018 from 2-4 pm at J A Snow Funeral Home; 339 Lacewood Drive.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Lung Association of Nova Scotia or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
