Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of Gwendolyn and Herbert Woodley.
Diane was a homemaker and also was main activist and spokesperson for the Hepatitis C Board. She was a very loving mother, grandmother and friend.
Diane is survived by her husband Billy Forsyth of 15 years; daughters: Heather Fleet Wolff; step-daughter, Kelly Gillis; sons: Michael Cruickshanks, Basil Cruickshanks, Jr., Brian Cruickshanks, (Tara); brothers: Herbert Woodley, Milton Woodley, Leslie Woodley (Diane) and Ronald Woodley (Elsie); grandchildren: Jenna Cruickshanks, Gracie Cruickshanks, Christopher Cruickshanks, Brandon Cruickshanks, Cameron Cruickshanks, Jessy Riely, Noah Riely and Raven O’Reilly and two great grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, Basil Cruickshanks, sister, Audrey Woodley and brothers: Herbert Woodley and Milton Woodley (Sunny).
Visitation will be held at J. A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax, on Tuesday, August 4 from 2- 4 & 7-9 pm and funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 5 at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Liver Foundation.
