Dave was born on April 16, 1953 in Newport, Wales. He moved to Scotland with his family as a young boy and attended George Heriot’s School in Edinburgh.
In 1974 he graduated from the University of Birmingham with a B.Sc in Chemical Engineering. He quickly became a Chartered Professional Engineer working for BP. In 1980 he immigrated with his wife and daughter, Katharine to Calgary, Canada to work for Mobil. His career took him to many places around the world including Alberta, Nova Scotia, Norway, Abu Dhabi and the USA.
When he retired he enjoyed spending time at his homes in Cochrane and Prospect. He was able to wake up with ocean views in N.S. and mountain views in Cochrane.
Dave loved travelling all around the world, his favourite places were New Zealand, Antarctica, and Europe. He loved taking his kayak out on the water before the sun rose and boating with his family to catch fish with the grandkids, In Alberta he loved camping in the mountains with his wife and all the dogs they had over the years.
In his retirement he was always busy with a project inside and outside the house. His greatest love though was for his family and he has left us so many happy memories,
Dave is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Jose (Worthy), daughters Katharine (David), Jenny (Brandon), Chris (Nicola) and his brother Chris (Morag) and his seven grandchildren (Alexander, William and Joshua Manuel; Patrick and Thomas Goble; Levi and Piper Jones).
