Born in Hazel Hill, Guysbrough Co. He was the son of the late Jamie and Beatrice Nickerson.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mary, daughters Kim (Randy), Connie (Jamie) and his precious grandchildren Aidan and Jenna, also his brother Jim (Darlene), sisters Connie, Nancy (Perry), Lisa (Pete) and his special aunt Julia (Don), and several nieces and nephews.
Curtis was also and avid fisherman and hunter with special friends Clayton and Darcy.
Curtis' working career started at Moir's Chocolates, from there he went to the School Board and then he went to Coca Cola where he worked for 40 years before retiring.
A funeral service for Curtis will be held Monday, March 31, 2025 at 10:00 AM in J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax, NS, reception to follow.
