Clinton is the incredible man I met at the ball field several years ago. From then he coached our team with all of his expertise and made sure we all knew how much he loved us. Rest easy coach, we will think of you every time we step on the field. xo

Sorry to hear of the passing of a childhood friend Clinton David. Clinton was a gentle soul, always willing to participate in a game or two, and wanted those around him to have fun and be happy. He was so excited when he joined the Sea Cadets and his face shone whenever he wore his Navy Uniform. May God grant him Eternal Rest.

I am so sad and heartbroken that you are gone from this earth. You were such an amazing man so full of love and care for everyone. 
Known as  Mr. Metro because you were the nicest, funniest and most caring driver. You put smiles on everyone’s face as you greeted them as they got on your bus. You we’re loved by everyone.  Even your coworkers loved you as you always did extra things like the rodeo, fill the bus and coach the ball team with and for them. You we’re truly an inspiration to all.
I will miss hearing daughter of mine and my girl from your lips but I know you are with me and I look forward to being greeted by you with a big hug and kiss when we meet again. I will carry you in my heart and in all the fond memories we had.
RIP dad! We miss and love you always!

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of my friend, Clinton.  Although I did not have an opportunity to talk with him in the last few years, he was often in my thoughts and in my prayers.  Clinton and I shared a passion for fastball and we coached teams together in the Halifax area.  He was very dedicated to his sports, and beside his talent and knowledge, he always brought a smile and a laugh to the game.  I know some day we will meet again, and I will hear his laugh and see him smile .... no more pain, rest in peace, my friend.

I have great memories playing baseball against Clinton in Woodlawn in the early 60's...he had a great sense of humour and was fun to play with...a fine man and a fine player.

Clinton drove the bus (#1) that my son, who was two at the time, used to take downtown.  During the winter he always had a hot cup of tea for me and about 4 other passengers who always sat at the front of the bus, laughing and carrying on with him. He knew all his regular passengers, if not by name, by face. If he saw one of them running for the bus stop, he would pull over and stop for them so they didn't miss the bus. He was extremely good to my son, who also got a treat each morning, usually an apple or orange but sometimes he would sneak in a candy bar. Clinton was a kind and caring man and was a credit to Metro Transit. I watched people wait specifically for HIS bus because he was so nice to everyone, always greeting them with a genuine smile and a cheery "Good Morning". RIP my friend.

I was sorry to hear of Clinton's passing and wish to send condolences to his family and many friends. I knew Clinton through the Metro Transit service and mutual friends and fondly remember his sense of humour.  

Sorry for you loss, I remember cousin Clinton when I used to see him on the bus and we would have many laughs.  Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time

Clinton, it broke my heart to hear of your passing. My heart is filled with joyful memories of our childhood days.. When I was speaking to you a few years ago, we talked about getting together and having a reunion with my brother Aubrey and others we grew up with, but God had other plans. He needed another Angel, so he called you home. My heart takes comfort in knowing that we have yet another Guardian Angel watching over us. My condolences to your family and friends. I remember when I was 16 years old you drove me over the McDonald Bridge Daily.  You were most certainly hauling heavy on the route 11. Little was I to know that I myself would be driving the route 11 and hauling heavy five years later. Clinton you’ve always been an inspiration to me your kind words to your passengers drove  my passion to want to drive. I can’t think of anyone who wasn’t a friend of yours.A true gentleman and a class act rest in peace my friend.

Worked with CD for many years. Great guy, he will be missed. RIP my friend.

I am saddened to hear the passing of Clinton or as we used to call him    CD   I to Echo the  sediments  of Wayne and John and Dana we all worked with CD and loved him very much he was a kind and humorous guy to be around always had a joke to tell you and will be missed by all........ my condolences to Karen and his family ....... he will stay forever in our hearts....... bless you CD

Clinton. He loved " hauling heavy" on the route 1 and was sure to let you know. He loved coaching the transit baseball team. Always had a big smile and a kind word and loved the people he worked with. I know he had many passengers who loved to travel to work on his bus every day. He made their day with his good humor and charm. It was a pleasure to know him and to work with him. My condolences to his family.

So very sorry to hear of Clinton’s passing, bless the family and RIP old friend. I worked with Clinton for over 25 years, he helped make all our jobs easier with his sense of humour and supportive nature. See you on the other side big man. 

To all of Clinton's family and friends, my deepest heart felt love and sadness for your loss. I will miss him for as long  as time continues to pass. My heart breaks for you all.  Rest in peace my brother, l love you!


To Clinton's family I send heartfelt condolences. I remember well our time as young soldiers in Camp Petawawa in the 60/70's and especially our summer tours doing the Changing of the Guard Ceremonies on Parliament Hill and the Governor General's Residence. RIP Soldier.

On behalf of my father, Levi Brown of Surrey, BC and our entire family we would like to express our heartfelt condolences to his wife Karen & family and the entire David family on Clinton's passing. I knew Clinton for a long time especially growing up in Uniacke Square where he spent time visiting his sister Juanita, he was no nonsense, fun to be around, loved telling stories and was a true jokester, but when he was driving the bus he was serious as a good bottle of wine  and dressed from head to toe in his uniform which he wore with pride.  May your next Bus stop Clinton be at Heaven's Gate. Rest in Peace Clinton and may God continue to Bless your family.


My sincere condolences to Karen and family.    Clinton and I were friends for a long time.    Although I have not seen him in years, I have very fond memories of our time that we spent together.   RIP my friend.   I will never forget you.

Condolences to the family of Mr Clinton, I'm glad while he was a patient in hospital we were able to talk about God, in whom he put his trust and reminiscing of days gone by.
