I would like to send my sincere condolences to you Carol, Charles and Crystal. I remember that he was a strong family man.  He raised a strong son who was an exceptional golfer - I guess he took after his Dad. It was obvious to me that his family meant a lot.  I remember the day I met his daughter. .
 I have only stumbled across this news, and despite it being some time, I’m sure it doesn’t feel that way for you all, and my heart goes out to you. Take solace in your beautiful memories of him.

Carol, I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your husband.   My deepest sympathy to you & your family.

Carol; It was a sad surprise to learn of Charlie's passing. He was a professional in all his workings and mentored me on my way up the career ladder. Those of us who attended the monthly coffee meetings will miss his quiet chuckle and his presence.
Bev and I will unfortunately miss the ceremonies this weekend as we are away, but we will pause to remember him.

I am sorry to hear of Charles passing.  I met & worked with
Charles in Halifax while working at the PAL / Oceans office at Purdy's Wharf in 2001-2002.  We had many a good chuckle over that 8 month period!  He couldn't wait for the weather to break late winter to get on the golf course!  I'm sure he's playing a round as I type!

I knew Charlie and his father when they lived up on Memorial Dr. I also knew Charlie when he worked at the weather office here in Gander.

I first met Charlie in 1989 when I was posted as a beginning MT-2 to the Newfoundland Weather Centre in Gander.  

I enjoyed working at the office very much through the spring of 1991.  I appreciated the guidance and instruction he provided to the newer staff under his management.

I happened to be in Halifax on Sep 10-12 this past week.  If I had known about his hospitalization, I certainly would have  paid a visit to see him.

I trained Charlie in boxing during this past summer. He was a wonderful person and will be missed

I have many fond memories of uncle Charlie.   Especially spending time with his family in Halifax in the summertime and swimming in his pool with Charles.

So sorry to hear the news of Charlie's passing. He was a colleague of mine in the early days of my career as a forecaster in Halifax.  He always had a ready smile and he will be missed by friends, family and other colleagues.
