ALEXANDER, Carolyn Helene (Armstrong) – 67, passed away peacefully on November 15, 2010 surrounded by her family. She was born and raised in Liverpool, graduating from Liverpool Regional High School. She trained as a nurse at the Victoria General Hospital, Class of 65A, and recently enjoyed attending her 45th reunion. She practiced for two years in Neurosurgery at the VG before taking on the full time role of mother. The devotion to her husband, children, friends and community was evident and performed with grace and great kindness.
Carolyn is survived by her loving husband, Christopher, daughters Susan (John) Drake, Eastern Passage, Sandy (Kip) Jackson, Lantz, son Mark (Erika), Dartmouth, and three grandchildren who she adored. She was predeceased by her parents Harold and Marion (Whynot) Armstrong, brother Phillip and mother and father-in-law Brian (Ben) and Katharine (Clements) Alexander.
Many thanks to all the doctors and nurses for their care and attention during her brief illness, especially nurse Tanya Nixon who nursed as Carolyn did – from the heart; and to family doctor, Dr. Karen Anderson for the professional and compassionate care over the past few years.
At her request, Carolyn has been cremated with a celebration of her life to take place on Friday, November 19th at 2:30 p.m. at All Saints Anglican Church in Bedford, officiated by former classmate and cherished friend, Rev.
