Blair Robert Myers

It is with great sadness that we announce Blair Robert Myers passed away peacefully on May 19, 2024 in Halifax, NS surrounded by his loving family. Blair was born in Labrador City, NL on June 30, 1964. He is predeceased by his parents, Patrick and Doris Myers, his brother John Myers (Joan), sister Mary Jacobs, brother-in-law Ron Brophy, sister-in-law Colleen Pennell, and mother-in-law Marjorie Brake.

He will be remembered and missed dearly by his loving wife of 37 years, Lorna (nee Brake), his children Michael, Sarah and Ryan; siblings Anna Brophy (Tony Manning), Brian (Jenny), Bob Jacobs (in-law), Stephen (Melinda), Anita Robertson (Andrew), Patricia (Nick Potter), Paula Larocque (Sylvain); father-in-law Wilbur Brake and brother-in-law Byron Brake (Judy); and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Even his dog Oscar will miss his snuggles and evening games of tug with Blair.

Blair will be remembered for his quick wit and sense of humor. He was always sharing a good story or a dad joke, keeping everyone entertained and laughing. He was a true family man, always talking about Lorna and the kids, right up to the end. He never passed up an opportunity to express his love and pride regarding his family, and he will be dearly missed by them.

Thank you to the doctors, nurses and all other staff at the QEII Health Sciences Centre for their excellent care. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the QEII Health Sciences Centre or an organization of your choice. A service followed by a celebration of Blair’s life will be held at JA Snow Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 29th from 1-3pm.
