LEWIN, Bernadean “Billie” – It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Bernadean “Billie” Lewin on February 11th, 2011. Born in Halifax, she was the daughter of the late Wilfred and Lilla Mae (Lamb) McNally. She was employed for a number of years by National Drug Co. and retired from Canada Permanent Trust Co. (Now T.D. Canada Trust) after 30 years of service.
She was a life long member of West End Baptist Church and an active member for many years, in different areas of church work.
She volunteered for some time with the M.S. Society (Atlantic Division) and had a great concern for others.
Billie had a sharp wit and a great sense of humour, loved to garden, knit and crochet.
She was predeceased by her loving husband, Errol and sister Winnifred.
Survived by her beloved niece Rosaline (Jim) Bleoo and great-niece Ashley, also niece Sharon (Tony) Vella and her children Terry and Tina.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 17th from 3-6 p.m., at J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Dr., Halifax (902) 455-0531, where funeral service will take place on Friday, February 18th at 2 p.m., Rev. Nolan Lee officiating.
