Barry was the son of the late Harold and Alma (Ross) Robinson, born in Halifax, N.S. on September 18, 1933. He was also predeceased by his brother, Brian. Surviving him are his wife of 60 years, Jan (Janice) Robinson who was with him when he went to his eternal home. Also surviving him are his daughters, Cindy (Charlie) and Cathie (Kevin). Barry was an adoring Grandad to Janelle (Mark), Jared and Sara. There was nothing he wouldn’t do for them. He was also predeceased by his fur babies, Scoobie, Brandy and Lacey.
Barry attended elementary school at St. Thomas Aquinas and to this day many of his classmates celebrate their friendship. Following high school (QEH), Barry joined the RCAF retiring after 20 years. He then decided to change his profession and became Sales Manager at C.E. Choat & Co. He subsequently became employed with Snap On Tools as Industrial Sales Representative (AND WHAT A SALESMAN HE WAS!). In 1996, Barry then joined his wife in happy retirement.
Barry was known for his quick wit and just as quick retorts, always ready with a joke. A true gentleman, kind, generous, compassionate and devoted to his Roman Catholic faith. For many years, he was also a member of the Saraguay Club (RYNS) and served as Chairman of the Board and interim manager. He also enjoyed the position of Associate Member of Ashburn Golf Club and Probus Gentlemen Club.
We would like to extend our deepest appreciation for the compassion shown by the first responders who were present the evening of his death.
