— 85. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. Antonios "Tony" Ghosn passed away peacefully in the QEII Health Sciences Centre on February 18, 2010, surrounded by his loving family and friends. Born in Diman, Lebanon in 1924, son of the late Habib and Barjoutte (Faddoul) Ghosn, he was predeceased by his brothers, Youssef, Nabih, Fouad, George and sisters, Linda (Ghosn), Latifa (Wehbe), Odette (Chidiac). He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Kowcab (Arab); sons, Robin (Tania), Ronald (Aline), Youssef "Joe" (Josephine), Andrew, Mark (Frangie); grandchildren, Anthony, Christopher, Hannah, Natalie, Neil, Jeremy, Mark, Boston, Christian, Youssef, Gabriel and Elijah and sisters, Wadad (Emile) Ghosn and Yvette (Daniel) Saab. Antonios immigrated to Halifax in 1955, where he was married and started a new life. Antonios was a wise and generous man. His faith and passion for life were strong. Everyone knew of his great sense of humour. He always managed to put a smile on your face and his love for storytelling will always be in our memories. He will be fondly remembered by his family and friends around the world. Visitation will take place today, February 20, from 7-9 p.m. and Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Dr., Halifax. Funeral service will be held on Monday, February 22 at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of Lebanon Parish, Monsignor Kherallah Aoukar and Father Pierre Azzi officiating. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Sackville. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
