With profound gratitude for a beautiful life well lived we regret to announce the passing of (Ann) Ursula Flynn, (Hammonds Plains, N.S.) on January 2nd, 2021. She was predeceased by her parents John Pius & Mary McLeod; her sisters Isabel, Helen & Merle; her brother John; her sister-in-law Marjorie & husband Archie MacDonald; her sister-in-law Judy McLeod. She is lovingly remembered by her husband & truest companion, Bernie; children Bernard (Christine), Marie, Jonathan (Betty) & Moyra (David); grandchildren Jonathan (Courtney), Megan, Shauna, Saxon, Cameron, Katie, Austin & Flynn; brother Peter (Maureen) & families; brother-in-law Melin (Aileen) & families; brother-in-law Blair (Jeannie) & families. Ursula was born October 21, 1934 in New Waterford, N.S. After graduating High School she completed her training as an X-Ray Technician, a career she practised for a short time prior to marrying Bernie on June 13th, 1957. Thus began her life-long commitment as a wife, mother & grandmother. She was a loving mentor and a staunch friend, caring for her family with skill and pride. Ursula was a devout Catholic, strong in her faith. She was an avid reader, an accomplished bridge player, enjoyed tennis (how she met Bernie, through her friend Marjorie), lawn bowling, a life-long learner and a keen observer of the world and politics. Ursula instilled a love of reading, the appreciation of cinema, swimming and the art of conversation in her thankful children. Her deserved reward of eternal life will leave a space that will never be filled. Ursula shall be remembered with endearing love and true thankfulness.
