It is with great sadness that Allen Lamoine Denis, age 71 of Halifax, NS passed away 22 August 2016 at the QE II Halifax Infirmary surrounded by family and loved ones. Born in Halifax, NS he was the son of the late Arthur and Marie May (Kennedy) Denis.

Allen spent his youth as an active athlete, having played hockey, basketball, track and field, and golf. He was an avid outdoorsman and duck hunter who enjoyed gathering with friends, and his dog Rebel, for an annual skeet shoot, and heading off to camp “Free Spirit” to go fishing and hunting. In his later years what Allen loved most was spending time with family and friends, especially any activity that involved being with his grandchildren.
Allen is best-known to family, friends, neighbours and even many strangers for his kindness, huge heart, generosity, sense of humour, and selflessness. Allen will be sadly missed by his wife and soulmate, Catherine (Young) Denis, Lower Sackville; daughter, Kelly (Owen) Brine, Upper Tantallon; sister, Dianne (Norm) Pepper, Chester; brothers, Arthur (Freda), Montreal, Ronnie (Sandi), Bedford, Robert (Cathy), Prospect Bay, and David (Margo), Chester; his precious grandchildren Emily, Benjamin, Ethan, and Luke; and many nieces and nephews.
