Gordon, Dr. Alfred – On December 4, 2024, peacefully at Humber River Hospital. Beloved husband of the late Doreen (Nathanson) Gordon. Loving father and father-in-law of Gayle (and Tom Silverhart), Randy (and Mel), and Kenny (and Sandy). Zaidy of Rebecca, Josh, Jack, Skyler, Eitan, Max, Zach, Mitch and Jonathan.

“Alfie” was a respected family doctor in Dartmouth, N.S. where he practiced for more than 65 years. He met his beloved wife, Doreen, when he was 20 years old at Camp Kadimah in 1947, where they fell in love and were married for 53 years. He retired in 2019 at the age of 91 and moved to Toronto, ON, to be with his family. He will be laid to rest next to his beloved wife Doreen in Halifax N.S. The family would like to acknowledge with special thanks and appreciation all of “Doc’s” caregivers: Honey, Bambi, Emelda, Haydee, Edwin and Mark.

The interment will be followed by a brief Shiva until 6 PM at the home of Howard and Rachel Budovitch, 1535 Larch Street, Halifax, Nova Scotia B3H 3W7.

Shiva will continue in Toronto on Monday, Dec. 9 – Wednesday, Dec. 11 from 1-4pm and from 7-9:30 PM daily at 53 Berkindale Drive, North York, ON, M2L 1Z9.
