Age 73, passed away peacefully on December 29, 2021 at the Victoria General Hospital, Halifax, NS. Born in Halifax, Alex spent his childhood in Fall River, before moving to Halifax to study biology at Dalhousie University. Alex was predeceased by his parents, Clyde Wilson and Doris (Gibson) Wilson; and his first wife Janet (Brown).
After graduating from Dalhousie University, Alex was employed for a short time in the biology department. Alex spent most of his career at the Nova Scotia Museum of Natural History, first as a curator of botany; later as manager of natural collections. Alex also acted as a naturalist with several small cruise ship companies.
Alex is survived by his wife, Christine Price; children, Michael, Andrew and Johanna; sister Heather Rose (Howard) and brother Carl (Patricia); and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A celebration of life will be held at St. Andrew’s United Church, 1390 Robie Street, Halifax, NS, officiated by Rev. Susan Chisholm on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at 1300h. Proof of vaccination and photo ID will be required.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Parkinson’s Society of Nova Scotia.
