Son of Leah and Irving Shapiro, married to Joan Propper Shapiro who predeceased him, survived by David, Daniel, Peter and Jini, his children, their partners and spouses Amy, Aline and Susan, ten grandchildren and three step-grandchildren.
Graduate of Horace Mann School; Wharton School of Business, and Columbia Business School; Veteran of WWII, received purple heart; involved in civic duties in Englewood, New Jersey;
Funeral to be held Friday December 27th at 11 at Temple Mt. Sinai, 1 Engle Street, Tenafly NJ;
Shiva at the home of David Shapiro and Amy Punyon at 45 Dwight Place, Unit 4, Englewood, NJ on Sat. 12/28/ 5-9 and Sun 12/29 11-5.
