Mickey was born May 10, 1944 in Elizabeth, NJ, son of the late Abraham and Emilie Pollock. Mickey
grew up in Union, NJ, and was a graduate of Union High School. He was a resident of both Maywood
and Wayne, NJ before moving to North Strabane Township in December of 2011. He was a salesman
at Sears, Sterns, and Macy’s, all located at Willowbrook Mall in Wayne. He retired from Macy’s
Furniture Gallery in September, 2011. Upon moving to North Strabane Township in 2011, he became
a member of Beth Israel Congregation in Washington, PA.
Mickey was a passionate sports fan! He was very devoted and dedicated to the New York Mets, New
York Jets, and New Jersey Devils! He took great pride attending his children’s and grandchildren’s
sporting events and performances. Another joy of Mickeys was to drive around town in his red Ford
Mustang convertible! He also loved running his extensive collection of Lionel model trains.
Mickey was married to his beloved wife Sharon for nearly 52 years before her untimely death in May
of 2020. He was the proud father of two children and grandfather to 7 grandchildren. Mickey is
survived by his brother, Larry Pollock and his wife Doris of Manahawkin, NJ, his daughter Robin and
her husband Scott Decter of Wayne, NJ, his son Brett and his wife Tammy, of Peters Township, PA,
and his cherished grandchildren, Andrew, Matthew, Hannah, Ross, Delaney, Addison, and Paisley.
He will be missed terribly.
Funeral services will be held 11:30 am, Friday, March 8, 2024, at Gutterman and Musicant Jewish
Funeral Directors, 402 Park Street, Hackensack, NJ, 07601. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery,
12 Market Street, Saddle Brook, NJ, 07663.
