I just found out today, December 10th, 2024, about Dr. Hoffman
Dr. Ken Hoffman was instrumental to the success of our oncology research firm for a period of nearly 20 years. Ken was not only a panel member but a mentor and friend. He was a big Phillies fan, and I am a Met fan. I wonder how he feels about the Mets signing Soto for $800 million. I just turned 70 so perhaps we can discuss that one day in the not-so-distant future.

I only recently found out about Ken's death. He was truly caring, a supporter of his RPI traditions, a benefactor of RPI's Folsom Library and a great doctor as well.  He will be sorely missed by all of us.

Dr Hoffman............. I was your patient in 1988. With all of your expertise, knowledge , and many days and nights of cancer treatment I am an ovarian cancer survivor because of you. How in the world did I ever come across this news , I am saddened to hear of your passing and will treasure the memories of you as being the greatest person and doctor I have ever met on this earth. Rip dr. Hoffman. I wish I could have saved your life.  Your patient leslie.

I was shocked to learn of Ken's passing. We were friends from high school through college. After high school we traveled through New England in his highway dept. yellow car. We played golf together, I would usually loose. He was a groomsman in our wedding. I have such good memories of him. We will miss him.

Vivian sorry for your loss.  Ken was a very special man. I will always be grateful for the time I knew him in college at the University of Alabama Birmingham.  He was extremely kind when my brother passed away from lung cancer many years ago.  May your memories help you during this difficult time.

Dear Vivian, Alex, Nick and Family,
Arthur and I were shocked and saddened to learn of Kenny's passing.
It is hard to believe that my little cousin is no longer with us.  I met Kenny at his BarMitzvah and we stayed in touch over the years.  We managed to attend each other's family events which required travelling many miles.  We always knew that Family was very important to Kenny - a legacy he inherited from his Mom, Edie.  Family is what drew us together.  We met and instantly loved Vivian, who we sometimes met at medical conferences throughout the U.S.
We hope the love and support of family and friends and cherished memories will provide comfort to all of you during this sad time.

We were friends and neighbors of the Hoffman’s for 30 years. Their son, Alex, and our son, Michael, grew up together. A wonderful family. Ken was one of the most selfless people we’ve ever known who dedicated his time and energy to his family, friends and the local community. He will be missed, but his legacy of kindness and service will endure forever.

We knew Ken at RPI and worked on reunion committees together. He was a wonderful person, and we will miss his friendship, wisdom and commitment. We recently learned he is a fellow fan of the Phillies, and we will toast his memory at our next game.

Ken was a very enthusiastic, proud and active RPI alum who gave generously of his time, counsel and money to the school. I enjoyed working with him on the 50th Reunion and Ken had a ball at our dinner in October 2023. He will be missed. RIP Ken.

On behalf of Lyndhurst Youth Soccer Cub (LYSC), we offer our condolences to Ken’s Family as we are very sorry for your loss.

Ken was a good friend, colleague and strong supporter of our Annual LYSC Spooktacular Halloween Soccer Tournament.  As referee assignor for many years we coordinated with Ken to plan and oversee a safe and successfully run event.  His support and guidance will be missed throughout the Soccer Community.  Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

I spent years working with Ken on the board of Teaneck Junior Soccer League, and as the town rep for PVISL and Northern counties soccer leagues. Not to mention his being referee on countless games for the teams I coached. Ken was a hard working and dedicated man. He cared about the community and it’s residents and he put countless hours into helping others. He helped expand the soccer program in Teaneck  and develop so many children and adults  as refs and players, my children and family included. I will miss Ken, cherish the memories of him, and appreciate all he did for us all.

Ken was a celebrated Oncologist who helped many.  He was an active Alumnae of RPI and a consistent member of our Reunion planning committee.  His sudden passing is a shock to everyone and our hearts go out to his family.  We are all saddened by his passing and offer condolences to the family.  We will miss him greatly.

Ken was a tremendous friend, colleague and Class of ‘73 RPI classmate. Always an active, vibrant and involved physician. Also an integral part of our RPI reunions and financial supporter network.

Mr. Hoffman, you were a great mentor for me. During my first year as a youth referee you took time to guide, help and teach me the right ways to be a good referee. I still value the lessons you gave me and the tips as well. I am grateful to have met you. Thank you for all your help and you will be greatly missed. Sending condolences to the family.
