Jean Robbins, 89, nee Cohen, of Fort Lee, N.J. passed away on April 29. Jean was born in Newark, NJ, a proud graduate of Weequahic High School. She resided in Teaneck for forty-five years with the love of her life, the late Jack Robbins, one of the original owners of J & J Pharmacy. They were married fifty-three years. She is survived by her son Marc, his wife Renee, daughter Susan and her husband David Barish. She was grandmother to Jason, Joshua and his wife Pam, Amy and her husband Matt Kelly, great-grandmother to Jack and Sarah, sister to Leonard Cohen and the late Ruth Barron. Jean was an avid reader, loved to travel, was passionate about politics and classic movies. Jean and Jack loved to celebrate holidays in their home with their many friends and family. For many years, she was a volunteer for ORT and Meals on Wheels. Please make donations in memory of Jean to those organizations or charity of your choice.
Shiva Will be observed at 1500 Palisade Ave Fort Lee, NJ apt 3F Friday after the funeral until 5:00PM Saturday 7:30Pm -9:00PM , Sunday 12:00PM -8:30PM and Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 2:00PM- 8:30PM Shiva Minyan Sunday -Wednesday at 8:00PM. Shiva will end Thursday morning.
