Hermine Natalie (Neuman) Silverstein of Clifton, N.J. died peacefully on April 9th after a brief illness at the age of 96. Born to Leo and Bessie Neuman she grew up on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. She began her career in fashion in sales and rose to the position of buyer at Bloomingdale’s on 59th Street. She was always very artistic and was a sculptor. Hermine took great pride in her home which received a beautification award from the City of Clifton. She was an avid Yankees fan never missing a game. Her true passion was her grandchildren who she adored.
Predeceased by her husband, Larry, she is survived by her daughter, Lori (Jerry) Solomon, and grandchildren Hannah, Jacob, and Lily.
