Born in Furth Germany in a DP camp as her parents where both Holocaust Survivors, she immigrated to the United States when she was 6 years old. She resided in Basking Ridge for over 21 years.
Florence founded the Somerset Hills Learning Institute for individuals with Autism in 1998. She worked as the Executive Director for the United States Green Building Council, NJ Chapter for the past 8 years. She loved to play classical piano, was an amazing cook, and had the best children in the world.
She is survived by her daughter Karen Benarzi of Basking Ridge, her two sons Jared Reichenberg of Providence, RI; and Steven Reichenberg of Basking Ridge, her mother Esther Block of Englewood Cliffs, NJ; her two brothers Kalvin Block of Milford, CT; and Michael Block and his wife Sari of Englewood, NJ.
A Funeral Service will be held today September 21st at 10:30am, Gutterman-Musicant Jewish Funeral Directors, 402 Park Street, Hackensack, NJ 07601 Burial will follow at Beth Israel Cemetery in Woodbridge, NJ.
