after 50 year of friendship, you will be deeply missed.  we experience so much together growing up and shared all our ups and downs in our adult lives.  Yes, I was the brother you never had and know that we did have that bond.  I will truly miss the weekly calls, but know that I will always remember everything we did or spoke about.  You were the best dad your kids could have had.  That makes me very proud of you and knowing that they also felt that way is a comfort that you touched them in such a way to provide them with the tools to navigate thru life successfully.

Dear Waxenbaum Family,

I worked with Douglas at Coldwell Banker these past several weeks. I'm relatively new there but Douglas was even newer to the firm. He made a deep impression on me as being a kind, upbeat and very intelligent person. I was impressed at how he recently "defended my youthful appearance" when a colleague mistook me for my children's grandmother. 

I was very shocked and saddened to hear of his passing. His presence will be missed.

Sam & Jessica: I only knew your father for a little over 2 years or more but I feel as though he and I knew one another for a lifetime. In the short time that he and I knew one another it was obvious that your father was very proud of you both and loved you more - than life itself.

We were very saddened to learn of Doug's passing. We still remember seeing Doug's smiling face at every concert, MHS Drama Club or sports event, or "The Challenge" tapings.  Whatever Jessica and Sam were involved in, he was always there. He will be missed by many. You are all in our thoughts and prayers.
