Cresskill-Bruce Cohen (age 73) passed away peacefully on April 19 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born in Passaic, NJ to Felice and Paul Cohen. Bruce was raised in Paramus, NJ with his sister Lori in a house filled with love. He attended Northeastern University and Fairleigh Dickinson University before becoming co-owner of Kate's Bros, Shoes Inc. in Westwood, NJ for 25 years. He ended his career at Hudson City Bank. Bruce was a born salesman with his engaging smile and gift of gab. Customers of all ages sought him out for his service.
He found true love with his wife, Leigh. They were married for 38 years. When their son Paul was born, life was complete. He enjoyed every minute of fatherhood with Paul. As a family, they had many adventures together and shared so many happy times with family and friends.
Bruce will be remembered for his warm, funny, and chatty style; his nerdy passion for anything techy or sci-fi, and the love he so freely expressed. He in turn was loved by so many.
He is survived by his loving wife Leigh Baillie, his adored son Paul Cohen, and his dearest sister Lori Kearns and Joel. He is also survived by brother-in-law Douglas Baillie and Dory, sister-in-law Janice Baillie and Keith Loynachan, and brother-in-law John Lamond. He is predeceased by sister-in-law Joan Lamond. Nieces and nephews Molly, Ben, Douglas, Michael, Scott, Jack, Sonya, Tracy, and Isaac will miss him. He took a special interest in them all.
