William David Tinkes

William "David" Tinkes, passed away on Sunday, December 1, 2024. David was as gentle and loving as they came. He was always quick to conversations and knew just about everyone in town. His friendly face brought joy to all who were around him. His talents in bowling and moves on the dance floor were truly legendary. He had a love of food, especially the sweets! David always had kind words to say (except for anyone using his bathroom) and brought a presence to any celebration that will greatly be missed. He was always quick to sing happy birthday (mostly to get the cake at the end).

We know he will be watched after by his dad and his sister who he is with now, they will be able to take long walks together every day. David’s legacy will be upheld in the kindness we share with one another. May he rest in peace.

David was survived by his mother Bonnie Tinkes, his brother Tom (Cheryl), sister Felicia (Todd) Rhodes, Mike and Karen Deacy, his nephews Keegan (Brenda), Devin, Danny and Brenden, TJ (Pond), his nieces Roselyn and Katarina, Bethany; many great nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles.

A visitation for William will be held Wednesday, December 11, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Marsh Funeral Home, 305 N Cemetery Rd, Gurnee, IL 60031, followed by a funeral service from 12:00 PM.
