Sharon M. Ward

Born in Laurium, Michigan, July 15, 1947 to George and Joanne Mackie, Sharon was a devoted family woman, a lifelong student, a business woman, and very active in her community.

A Waukegan High School graduate '65, Sharon earned her Bachelor of Science in 2005 from the Columbia College of Missouri. She worked at Abbott Laboratories for 35 years and retired in 2012 as a Compliance Analyst. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family, traveling, Halloween, dinner and a show, roller coasters, Zumba class, and occasional water sport, fishing, zip line, or hiking adventure trips with her children and grandchildren.

Sharon is survived by her mother Joanne, her daughter Meighan, her sons Jon(Bea) and Jason(Lori), her brothers David(Karen) and Tony(Ellen), her sisters Diane(Dan), Terry(Marlin), and Marilyn(Dick), her grandchildren Stephanie, Nicole, Paige, Jake, Jessica, Baylie, Rylie, Tatum, and her great grandson Tucker.

The visitation will be held on March 3, 2017 at Marsh Funeral home; 305 N. Cemetery Road in Gurnee, from 5:00pm to 8:00pm. There will be a service at 7:00pm. The funeral will be held at the old Saint Patrick Church, 15000 Wadsworth Road, Wadsworth at 10:00am on March 4. This will be preceded by a church visitation at 9:00am.
