I’m Kelli Gustafson (Maguire), Ryan is my first cousin and around 8 1/2 years younger than me. I would like to share a couple memories that I shared with my brilliant cousin.

My very first memory and a memory I’ll never forget is when my Uncle Scott (Ryan’s father) brought Ryan over for the very first time. It was closer to Christmas time and he had Ryan in this adorable little Santa suit. I remember we had the Santa Clause movie on too. Ryan was a bit fussy that night. I remember how great uncle Scott was with him as a first time father. I’ll never forget looking and holding Ryan for the very first time that night. I’m so thankful to have this memory on video.

I want to mention another great memory I shared with my sweet, amazing cousin.

Many Thanksgivings we’ve shared at uncle Scott’s together. Ryan would always drive me to the grocery store down the street when I needed to pick up something extra. We would have many conversations and I will forever miss the bond and time we’ve shared together. Ryan held a very special place in my heart that will forever stay hollow in his memory.

I love you forever Ryan Jacob ❤️ 🙏🏻

So many memories.  Birthday parties, Halloweens, pumpkin carving parties, running back and forth between their house and ours playing, watching movies with the kids during pick up bbq parties, jumping on the trampoline, asking me for more of those green things (peas) for lunch, seeing him grow (and grow) into the amazing young man he was. And the list goes on. We were blessed to be a part of Ryan's life very early on.  I will always remember how sweet and loving Ryan was. He had a huge heart. He made a huge impact on our lives and will never be forgotten and always loved deeply.  We will miss you, Ryan.

I was blessed to get to know Ryan a little better than his siblings because I used to clean Scott’s house and he was there from time to time.

I always made Ryan talk to me even if he didn’t want to. Ha! No he really did talk to me at his free will.

There were even times that I would drive him to Bill’s Pub when he was working there or CLC when he had classes and the weather was bad. He never wanted to inconvenience me but it wasn’t a problem to that for him.

Ryan, I would like to think when we all look up at the night sky that you are the brightest star shining down at us.

To Scott, Laura, Ciera, Casey and the rest of the Maguire family and extended family/friends, there are no words that express what we are feeling for all of you.
