He was born on September 27,1959 in Libertyville, IL. and was a resident of Gurnee until joining the United States Marine Corps.
Paul is survived by Jeffery Campbell, his spouse of 14 years and partner of 35 years. Also survived by brother Peter (Tammy) Gorsline, sister Ruby (Roger) Young, brother Mark (Jane) Gorsline, brother James (Karen) Gorsline as well as a host of many beloved friends.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents Jack and Ruth Gorsline and brother John Gorsline. He was also preceded in death by his beloved 4-legged companions, Sadie, Buddie, Emmi and Lily, Mikie and Chance.
Paul served as a proud member of the United States Marine Corps for 6 years but remained a Marine for life. Upon return to civilian life, Paul joined his father and brother in the family construction business before becoming a Union bricklayer then Union construction laborer, finally venturing into the landscaping business which became his true passion.
Paul was a true aficionado of birds and all things of nature. His family and friends will dearly miss his advice and guidance. Paul worked hard to create a beautiful home surrounded by his own nature preserve, quite a unique sight to behold. It will take a village to maintain what he created.
Paul will be lovingly remembered by his nieces and nephews, Sharon (Rob) Wichmann, Valerie (Aaron Cosgrove) Gorsline, Jason (Sara) Gorsline, Ryan (Joelle) Gorsline, Luke Gorsline, Kyle Young, Sarah Gorsline, Bradley (Carrie) Paul-Gorsline, James Gorsline and Grand nieces and nephews Hanna Wichmann, Justin Wichmann, Keith Gorsline, Mila Gorsline, Olivia Gorsline, Ryder Gorsline, Samantha Gorsline and Taylor Gorsline.
A celebration of life for Paul will be held Friday, May 2, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Marsh Funeral Home, 305 N Cemetery Rd, Gurnee IL 60031 followed by a visitation from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM
Interment will be private.
