Nancy Ann Ashley

Nancy Ann Korenchan-Ashley , 79, of Grayslake, IL passed away Monday, October 2, 2023. She was born on May 7, 1944 in Waukegan, IL to Victor and Jennie (Kauchnick) Korenchan. On August 5, 1971 in Waukegan, Nancy married the love of her life, Billie G. Ashely. Nancy was a member of Christ Episcopal Church, active in Altar Guild, was an original Stephen Minister Leader, an Usher, Vestry member, Discovery Leader and a Stewardship committee member. She worked at Abbott Laboratories for 36 years.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory, husband of 52 years, Bill Ashley; one sister, Helen Nicholson of Anderson, IN; a stepson, Steve (Stacy) Ashley of Kenosha, WI; two grandchildren, Nina Ashley and Tanner Ashley; cousins, Ann Marie (Jay) Chamernik, Frank (Barbara) Korenchan, Marilyn Dobrzenski, and many other cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Victor and Jennie Korenchan, special uncle, Joe Kauchnick, and brother in law, Dr. Jack Nicholson.

Visitation will be Monday, October 9, 2023 from 4 to 6pm at Marsh Funeral Home, 305 N. Cemetery Rd. Gurnee, IL. Memorial services will be held 10 AM on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at Christ Episcopal Church, 410 Grand Ave. Waukegan, IL. Interment will follow services at the church.
