Mary Ann Skof

Mary Ann Skof (Serdar), 83, passed away on October 20th, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 20, 1940, in Waukegan. She was a lifelong resident of North Chicago. Mary Ann was a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Mary Ann's love for her family, love of animals, slot machines and the Cubs brought her great joy. She had a knack for finding good deals and was always generous with her finds. Her friendly personality was contagious to everyone she met.

She is survived by her sisters Marge and Lorrie, sons Bryan (Jackie) with grandchildren Brett, Jordan, Rynne; Bradley (Joan), with grandchildren Anne (Tade), Jenny, Sarah (Luis); and Bruce (Joann) with grandchildren Brady, Ariel and Brach. Mary Ann was also cherished by her great-grandchildren Adriana, Emma, Tade, Isabel, Antonio, and Wyatt. Mary Ann is preceded in death by her parents Jack T. and Margaret, her husband James and brother John.

Friends and family will gather for a wake for Mary Ann that will be held at Marsh Funeral Home, located at 305 North Cemetery Road, Gurnee, Illinois 60031, on Thursday, October 26th, 2023 from 4pm to 8pm. The funeral service will take place on Friday, October 27th 10:00 am at St. Dismas Church, located at 2600 Sunset Avenue, Waukegan, Illinois 60087. Interment will be at Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville, Illinois

Mary Ann Skof will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Her memory will forever be cherished in their hearts.
