Margaret M. Bock

She was born on December 18, 1943 in Waukegan, Illinois to Cyril and Marian Dietmeyer. Margaret married Chris Bock, Jr on August 12, 1961 at St. Patrick's Church, Wadsworth.

Margaret was an adoring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Her family was the center of her world. Her door was always open and her kitchen never closed. She was creative with "yarn" whether through telling a story or while knitting as a member of the St. Patrick Church prayer shawl ministry making gifts from the warmth of her heart. She was an avid quilter and reader. She made friends wherever she went. She was loved and treasured by many and will be deeply missed by all.

Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Chris; six children, Lisa Bock Grosskopf, Kristina (Rick) DeRue, Robert Bock, John Bock, Kerry (Steve) McCaughey, and Jennifer Bock; seven grandchildren, Amanda and Eric DeRue, Jessica and Danielle Grosskopf, and Christian, Kaitlyn Rose and Braeden McCaughey; brother James Dietmeyer; sister Mary Dietmeyer. She is also survived by many loving in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother John.

Family and friends may visit at the Marsh Funeral Home, 305 N. Cemetery Road, Gurnee, IL on Friday, April 29, 2011 from 4 to 8 p.m. Funeral mass will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 30, 2011 at St. Patrick's Church, 15000 Wadsworth Road, Wadsworth, IL with Fr. George Dyer officiating. Interment at Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville, IL.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Patrick's School (Wadsworth) or a charity of your choice in her memory.
