LaVerne Smith, age 82, of Park City passed away September 9, 2011 at Rolling Hills Manor. Born March 8, 1929 in Waukegan Illinois. Member of Gurnee Community Church. Formerly Co-Director of the Youth Group G.C.T.

Beloved wife of Allan R. Smith of 64 years, loving mother of Linda (Glen) Ames and Ellen (Wayne) Hansen, dear grandmother of Kelly (Frankie) Ruiz, Shawn (Michelle) Hansen, Krystal Ames, Melissa(Dave) Stein and five great grandchildren. Loving family in California and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Preceded in death by her sister Joyce Bloom.

Funeral Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at 6:00pm at Marsh Funeral Home of Gurnee. Reverend Joseph Wilcox officiating. Interment private. Visitation 4-6pm Wednesday at Marsh. In lieu of flowers donations to Gurnee Community Chuch.
