I would like to say thank you so much for giving so much effort and supporting us from whatever we want to be, you're the reason why I let the things happens in my life, whatever it would be, co'z you teach me how to handle problems in life not just by facing it, you just letting it happen 'til it gone. One of the most difficult moments of our lives was the day we had to say goodbye to you, Joseph, my youngest brother.
You left this world far too soon, but you also left behind a remarkable legacy of love, laughter, kindness, generosity, and strength. You were a devoted and cherished friend to many, as well as a respected and admired colleague to your co-workers.

Though we can no longer see you, your presence will remain alive in our hearts forever. You will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all of us.

Dear Gie, 

I will miss you so much. Especially at work, Gie. It’s hard to believe I won’t see you again. Every day at punch time, I would look for you, hoping to catch a glimpse of you there. You left us far too soon.

When I found out you had been hospitalized, my heart broke. The first two days after hearing the news, I couldn’t hold back my tears. I cried in secret at work, not wanting my coworkers to see how much I was hurting. When the supervisor asked me how I was feeling, I couldn’t stop myself from breaking down. The thought of losing you weighed so heavily on me that my whole body felt weak. When the doctors said you were in critical condition, it hit me so hard. It was a pain that’s difficult to describe. Accepting that you’re gone is heartbreaking, but we have no choice.

Gie, you were such a wonderful person, and it shows in the outpouring of love from all who visited you. You touched so many lives in such a profound way. Thank you for all the good memories—for the laughter, the conversations, and the kindness you always shared. I will carry those moments with me forever. Rest in peace, my brother. You will be deeply missed.

It’s so hard to put into words how much Tito Gie meant to me and how deeply his passing has affected all of us. As his nephew, I had the privilege of witnessing firsthand the incredible person he was—a man filled with love, generosity, and a lighthearted spirit that brightened every room he entered. He had this unique ability to make everyone feel at ease, and his presence was always a source of comfort and joy. His laughter was infectious, his smile could light up even the darkest days, and his kindness knew no bounds.

Tito Gie wasn’t just an uncle; he was a role model, a supporter, and a source of so much joy in my life. He taught the value of family, the importance of hard work, and the beauty of living life with humor and kindness. I’ll always remember how he made even the simplest moments special—whether it was sharing his love of music, cracking jokes that had us all laughing, or cooking meals that brought our family together. Those times were filled with so much warmth and love, and they will forever hold a special place in my heart.

He always gave so much of himself to those he cared about, never expecting anything in return. I’ll forever cherish the memories of the times he brought a smile to my face with his kindness and humor. From fixing things around the house to lending a helping hand whenever anyone needed it, he was a man of endless talent and generosity. Tito Gie had a gift for making people feel valued, and his selflessness was a constant reminder of how much he cared about the people in his life.

Tito Gie’s absence is deeply felt, but his love/legacy live on in all of us. I know he’s watching over us now, I find comfort in knowing his spirit will always be with us, guiding us and reminding us of the love we shared.

Rest in peace, Tito Gie. Thank you for everything you’ve given to our family and for being the amazing person you were. I love you and will miss you always. You’ll forever remain in our hearts.

Gie,                                                                                               There is no moment that i cried because in every corner of my house I thought your hear playing with Michael, or playing with milo(my dog). I know that sometimes you mad at me but you know what i did is only for your own good.I’m sorry 😞 for that . I'm going to miss you. How can i forget when you always come to my house fixing something and watering my plants. How can i forget my brother who support me and help me for everything. Gie , it’s hard for me that I can’t see you physically , i will not say GOODBYE because in my MIND and in my HEART you’re always with me and guide me. Tito Gie was a very positive and kind person with a young soul. I will never forget the days filled with laughter, as you were such a jokester, always uplifting the mood with even the tiniest jokes. In my eyes, you were always the cool uncle, with your leather jacket and gelled-back hair, who always had time for your family. I remember you lifting me on your shoulders when I was a child and always giving us (your nieces and nephews) candy to see that smile on our faces. Also the times you would take Ninang Jenny and I to the stores and to get a sweet treat after… I still remember the first time you tried ColdStone Ice cream, and you had a big smile on your face.

I will never forget that you had such a passion for singing and cooking. You entered rooms with your favorite songs playing at maximum volume and you singing along. You never declined to do karaoke with us and poured your emotions into the lyrics; you were such a great singer. I can’t forget the nights at Lola’s house where you would play your guitar and sing a little song for us. I will also miss your cooking, as every celebration would now miss the lumpia, barbecue, and sisig you loved to cook. 

I appreciate all the gestures you have done for me, although asking for nothing in return, such as the times you would take me to school when I didn’t have a ride or pick me up early when I was feeling unwell. You were a very skillful man with many tools anyone could rely on, as you always knew the solution. You were always willing to fix anything, whether our house, a car, the garden, etc. You made our home what it is today, and I will forever be thankful.

Your presence at home will be profoundly missed, and I will forever think of you when the flowers bloom. Thank you for being an immense part of my life. Your impact on this world will never be forgotten. You were truly a hero until the very end. I love you so much and will miss you dearly.

Joseph was a beautiful soul whom I first met when he arrived in the US from the Philippines in 2006.  You were very shy and always smiled also very kind and courteous.  You connected with my two daughters right away (Andrea and Erica) who were very young at the time and I can remember you always playing around with them joking and laughing as if you were a big brother to them.  Few years later when my 3rd daughter (Celina) arrived you made that same connection with her.  It wasn’t  just my kids you had that bond with but also your other nieces and nephews here in Waukegan, IL. USA (Mylene, Michael, Jester, Jerome, Russell and Andrew). You were a great Uncle to them!  I’m going to miss those amazing BBQ sticks and lumpia you would make for us whenever we had a party or family gathering.  I can still hear your voice singing as you happily listened to your favorite love songs, classic rock and Tagalog music.  I will never forget your kindness and generosity.  You were there for my family hundreds of times whenever we needed anything. You were a great Brother to us!  I wish that your wife and kids could’ve been here and been apart of those great memories we had with you. Life will definitely not be the same without your presence.  Someone so special can never be forgotten!  You will forever stay alive in our memories and our hearts..

Your Kuya Alex will treasure all the memories, the joy , the fun, the laughter that  they have shared. I was honored to work with Joseph. His laugh was contagious and his smile lit up the room. He was with me for a long time on airpop 1 or 2 and always teased me about eating to much popcorn and I would tease him because everyday he would have a brand new pair of steel toed shoes! I'd tell him he had more shoes than any woman I knew.  He was very good at knowing when I was mad and he would say, "it's ok Maria it's almost Friday, 2 more days or 3 more hours and you can go home".  And at the end of the week it was, "see now you get to go home, see you Monday".  He will be missed. Thank you Jojo and his beautiful family for letting a few of us spend very personal time with him at Layola and being a part of his honor walk.
