Jasper J Bena

Bena, Jasper J. 90, born January 6, 1921 in North Chicago, IL passed away February 11, 2011 at Terrace Nursing Home in Waukegan. Member of St. Dismas Catholic Church, served in the U.S. Navy in WWII, retired from Com Ed after 33 years of service and was an avid fisherman and gradener. Survived by his wife, Bernice M. of 67 years, one son, Philip (Joni) Bena, two grandsons, Matthew Bena and Anthony Bena, one brother, Valentine Bena. Preceded in death by his sisters, Ann Snyder, Marie Bena, his brothers, Martin, Walter, Frank, John and Joe Bena. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at St. Dismas Cathlic Church, 2600 Sunset Ave., Waukegan. Visitation 4:00-7:00p.m. Monday at Marsh Funeral Home of Gurnee, 305 Cemetery Rd. Burial Ascension Cemetery. Donations may be made to Alhzheimers Asso., 225 N. Michigan Ave., Chicago, IL 60601.
