David was a very intelligent and philosophical man. He was very friendly and loved having long intellectual conversations. He lived his life by his mothers mantra "The truth is a pathless land." His true passions were his artwork and love for history. David brought his degree in metaphysics to the art world where he used philosophy and the world of antiquity in various styles of painting over his lifetime. Amassing a large oeuvre over his lifetime, as an outsider artist, never broke into the art world. He would often sit in his studio and contemplate the meaning of, and revisit paintings even decades after they were originally painted. David was also a writer. He wrote multiple manuscripts over his lifetime, one of which is titled Voodoo Shampoo and is in the process of being published. David also enjoyed composing Rococo style music on the piano as well as going to the Opera.
David is survived by his brother, Christopher White of Houston, TX, his sister, Judith Foote of Indianapolis, IN, and his brother, Philip White of Northfield, IL. He was preceded in death by his sister, Jean Marie White, mother, Genevieve "Busse" White, and his father, Walter White.
David worked for Lake County Building and Zoning for many years. He was a hardworking and dedicated employee who was respected by his colleagues.
