Daniel Leland Ross

Daniel was born in Waukegan, Illinois on May 11, 1955 to Roger and Donna (Meyer) Ross. He graduated Zion Benton High School in 1973. He went on to work at Bane & Nelson in Kenosha, Wisconsin for 30 years as a Millwright. Daniel married the love of his life, Mary (Rizzio), in 1993 and they enjoyed many wonderful years together.

Daniel was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, traveling, archery, and competitive rifle sports.

He was preceded in death by his parents Roger and Donna Ross, as well as his twin brother David Ross.

Daniel is survived by his wife Mary Ross, and his sister Kathy (Ed) Bartnicki, along with numerous family and friends. He will be deeply missed.

A Memorial Mass in Daniel’s memory will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, March 9, 2023 at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 6401 Gages Lake Road, Gurnee, Illinois 60031. A visitation will be held at the church on Thursday from 10:00 am until the time of Mass. Private family burial will be held at Ascension Catholic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Daniel's name can be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the American Cancer Society.
