Daniel A. Jones, 63, of Loves Park, Illinois went to be home with Jesus on Saturday, August 26, 2023. He was surrounded by his loving family. Daniel was born to Ernest and Wilhelmina (Koehler) Jones on June 4, 1960 in Chicago, Illinois. He married the love of his life Julie, on December 6, 1986.
Daniel loved the Atlanta Braves, the Blackhawks, and the Chicago Bears. He enjoyed classic rock and going to concerts with his wife Julie. He shared a love of music with his daughter Julianna. He loved being a foodie with his daughter Melissa. Daniel also shared the love of Baseball with his older brother John. Daniel's greatest joy was being a husband and father, while also being the family provider and protector. He was a good man who loved the Lord and sought to serve Him in this Earthly life.
Daniel was a loyal Walmart employee of almost 18 years. He worked mostly as an Asset Protection Manager pursuing shoplifters both internally and externally. Daniel loved to catch the "bad guys"! He made hundreds of friends from all areas of the company. He was dedicated to making sure employees were safe and encouraged everyone to make honest, positive choices.
He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years Julie; daughters Julianna, Melissa, and Sarah Warren; son Daniel; grandchildren Raina, Milo, and Macey; sister Grace; brother John. Preceded in death by his grandparents William and Martha Koehler; parents, Ernest and Wilhelmina Jones.
The family would like to encourage everyone to follow up on their annual health exams and to pursue treatment of the issues that may arise. A visitation for Daniel will be held on Tuesday September 5, 2023 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at Marsh Funeral Home, 305 N. Cemetery Road, Gurnee, IL, 60031. Funeral Services to also be held at Marsh Funeral Home on September 6, 2023 at 10:00am. Interment to follow immediately after at Highland Memorial Park, 33100 North Hunt Club Road, Libertyville, IL, 60048.
