Claudette Jane Patton

Claudette J Patton, age 67, of Grayslake, Illinois passed away on Sunday, August 21, 2022. She will be dearly missed by family and friends. Claudette's partner, Garry Stefany, preceded her in death on February 4, 2021. Her beautiful life will be forever cherished by her sons Joshua and Jason; two grandchildren, Emily and Niko; four sisters, Marjorie Smith, Elizabeth Howell, Joyce (Mike Bynaker) Burnfield and Cynthia (Joel) Fenton as well as many nieces, nephews, her four-legged friend, Tigger and other family and friends.

Claudette was born in Waukegan, IL on November 7, 1954 to Jasper and Mary (Santi) Buxton and she graduated from Zion-Benton High School.

Throughout her career, starting in 1979, she worked in three different hospitals in the dietary department and coffee shop. She also helped set up a hostess program. Claudette enjoyed working special catering events.

Claudette shared her love of life by lending a helping hand to friends and neighbors in need. Claudette was passionate about being the family historian, researching and preparing books for family members.

She delighted in taking day trips to small towns and shopping at antique stores. Claudette loved dancing, was known for being a Food Network Junkie and she was an avid Chicago Blackhawks fan.

A visitation for Claudette will be held on Friday, September 2, 2022 from 10:00 AM until the time of service at Marsh Funeral Home, 305 N Cemetery Rd, Gurnee, IL 60031. A funeral service will occur Friday, September 2, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home with graveside services to follow at Northshore Garden of Memories, 1801 North Green Bay Road, North Chicago, IL 60064.
