She always had a job. Alice loved knitting, cross-stitching, and quilting. She was featured in the local paper when she and her fellow quilter made and donated 50 quilts a year to Ronald McDonald House so children could have their own quilt and take home. At her 98th birthday party, she gave each family group three quilts she had made over the years. Then she made more and still has a "stash" of material and started quilts.
During COVID, she made puzzles with her son and his family and was still working on one when she was hospitalized. She had three solitaire games on her computer and would play each one every day until she won, then she was finished for the day. She also loved to play cards and played cards during her last days at home before she was hospitalized for the last time.
She loved family get-togethers. She and her husband had a camper and went to weekend campouts before he died. After her husband died, she traveled to Alaska, Michigan (many times to visit her brother and her granddaughter in Holland for Tulip Festival), England (to visit the place of her Father's birth), Ireland, and Green Bay to visit her other brother.
Her enthusiasm and love for celebrating will be missed by all.
