McHugh, Rose Ann - It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our Mommy, Nanny and Great Nanny on Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at the age of 88. After a dignified and valiant battle with dementia, Rose's body just simply wore out. Beloved wife of the late Donald (1986). Loving Mommy to Kathleen (Rowland) and Rosemarie. Much loved Nanny to Henry (Mollie), Addison (Steve), Kathleen and her "Wee Man" Christopher (Vanessa). Blessed with the gift of great grandchildren, Rose had 5 great granddaughters and 1great grandson. Very special Great Nanny to Madeline, Meredith, Jessie, Ava, Faith and Chance (the new "Wee Man"). Mommy will be missed by some extraordinary friends, Walter ("Son") and Antonette Pellizzari, Lillian, David and "Wee Rose" Wilson. Friends will be received at the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, 252 Dublin St., N on Friday, March 8, 2013 from 6 to 9 p.m. with Rosary at 830. Funeral on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to all of the staff on Elmwood, and Cherrywood, at St. Joseph's Health Centre, for the compassion and care they provided Mommy these past two years.
